Many factors influence your lips to lose moisture and end up all dry, cracked and even bleeding. But one of the most common at this time is the cold, if we do not take the necessary precautions and keep them hydrated, they will begin to fall apart and will not look good.
It is not enough to drink a lot of water or to pass the lip balm 3 times a day. Your lips need deep hydration that also provides them with vitamins. So make these super simple homemade masks and keep applying your balm as before.
Materials you will need for all masks:
- Hot water
- Plastic film (cut into pieces that cover your lips)
Procedure before applying any lip mask:
Brush your teeth so that the mask does not mix with any food particles. Gently exfoliate your lips with your toothbrush or with a little honey and sugar. Rinse with warm water and dry perfectly.
Dip a cotton ball in hot water and put a little pressure on your lips, not carving, just let the hot water soften the possible bits of skin that is about to peel off. Dry and apply the mask of your choice.
Spread a few drops of sweet almond oil on your lips. You can use your fingers or help with a little brush and even another piece of cotton. Give a light massage while applying. When finished, cover your lips with a piece of plastic film and let stand 20 minutes.
Remove the plastic and let the oil absorb naturally in your lips. You can do it every day if you wish. Try to keep them protected with lip balm all day.
Cut a slice of cucumber and rub it on your lips giving a gentle massage and trying to reach every corner of the area, for at least 3 minutes. Cover your lips with plastic film and let stand 20 minutes.
Rinse with warm water, dry your lips and apply your protective balm in a normal way. Apply this masks as many times as you want.
Olive and Avocado Oil
You just have to macahacar the pulp of half an avocado and add a few drops of olive oil, until the mixture becomes homogeneous, not very thick or very liquid. Spread on your lips with your fingers or with the help of a little brush, cover with the plastic film and let stand 20 minutes.
Remove with warm water, dry and protect your lips with your regular balm. Apply it as many times as you want.
Shea butter has many vitamins that will keep your lips healthy and hydrated. You can get it in pharmacies or in the beauty area of many supermarkets. Spread a thick layer on your lips, cover with the plastic film and let it act for 20 minutes.
Remove the film and let the butter burn itself on your lips. You can apply it more times during the day without covering, as a balm.
Honey and Vaseline
Apply a good amount on your lips, but not too much so that it does not drain from your chin. Cover with the plastic film and let it act for 20 minutes. Remove the film and rinse with warm water. Protect your lips with your regular balm. You can apply this mask daily if you wish.
